Stage Management Experience:

And In This Corner: Cassius Clay

By Idris Goodwin

In this production of And In This Corner: Cassius Clay, I was able to work as the assistant stage manager. Throughout the entirety of this show, I was in charge of all of the music. I was actually apart of the set and rang a large bell for all fights and started and faded out music as the characters spoke over it. That being said I also helped with all scene changes and relayed information, choreography, and directers notes to all the actors.

Make Mom Proud

Charity Show Foundation

Make Mom Proud was an important addition to piedmont college, it was founded by Jacob McKee. This production stands for a memoir to McKee's mother who passed away. He has taken this organization to many locations including Piedmont College, where he attended school. Every year we at Piedmont College produce some type of production whether that be student-written, an established play, or 2 short one-acts. All of the proceeds that we gain from the productions go towards a specific charity of the directors choosing that is related in some way to the production we are performing. This year we are performing 2 student-written/ directed one-act shows on P.T.S.D. The name of the organization that we are donating to this year is "The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation". They use their research to support the cure and updated accommodations for all mental illnesses. I am beyond excited to be stage managing this production this year and love being apart of something that makes a difference in this world. I have attached their website at the bottom of this page if you are interested in taking a deeper look.

The Foreigner

By Jason Engleman

In this production of The Foreigner, I was able to work as the assistant stage manager. I was on headset during productions and communicated information between the stage manager/ director and the cast/ crew.

Frozen

By Bryony Lavery

This was a student-directed one-act version of the stage play, Frozen. In this production, I was the Stage Manager meaning I kept up with blocking, entrances/exits, light cues, sound cues, set designs, call times, calenders, costume designs, and directors notes. I learned how to make a production run smoothly and met with all of the production team to make sure everyone was meeting deadlines and new of important dates, such as an off-book day. I also was on headset and called all cues for lights, sound, entrances, and exits.

F.R.E.N.D.Z

Student Directed and Written

I am the Stage Manager for this student-directed/ written/ featured production of F.R.E.N.D.Z, By Chelsea Harris. I am in charge of relaying all-important deadlines, getting all of the designs from the production team, creating a production and rehearsal calendar, and writing down all blocking for the actors. We are still in the midst of rehearsing for this production, however, on May 3rd I will be calling the show.
